Actually in a way Brian Cox.

Not because he is the best in the world or made some fantastic discovery. Though impressive that all is. When I watch a program with him in it, I feel inspired and think about what a cool place I work. So this maked a bigger difference to me than some of the proper great scientists.

      I love Leonardo da Vinci.

Its eclecticism (that means the ability to do so many different things) has always inspired me. He was a scientist, an engineer, a painter, an artists, and many other things!! He was great!!

      Hi Anna

I think I would say Isaac Asimov, he is most famous for being a science fiction writer, and it was his fiction about robots that inspired me to become interested in science.

But he was also a chemist, so he still counts as a proper scientist!

Carl Sagan was a brilliant scientist (with a great TV show about science) – he knew a lot about the universe. Sadly he passed away, but his work has been continued by Neil deGrasse Tyson in the TV show called Cosmos which I highly recommend.
