      Hi David

I think that some things are more possible than others. I wouldn’t be surprised if we could augment ourselves with gills for instance in the next 50 years or so. Wings for flying are trickier as people are really heavy!

Some people already are augmented, but it’s usually people who have lost a limb in war, so the augmentation is really just a replacement. There are some really interesting developments in this field with some artificial hands being able to be controlled just by thinking about it.

If I were to have an augmentation I’d get a tail like a monkey. So many times I’ve thought it would be really useful for holding stuff our closing doors, and of course climbing trees!

If you could get one augmentation, what would it be?

I’m not sure about gills or flight, but we can build good prosthetic limbs that are better and stronger than the ones we have already. Scientists are working on connecting these to the brain so we can control them with our thoughts.
