• Question: do you earn a lot of money a year

      Hi Jake,

      There is more to life than money. You could choose many careers that you earn more than a scientist for sure. I think it is important to do what you enjoy, if you wake up in the morning and look forward to the day that is important. As a job you could be doing it for 40 years or more. So enjoyment is a big part of it.
      But then again I am happy to say I live comfortably and I can do the things in life I want to. So I earn enough. 🙂

      Hi there

      I earn £34,200 a year, which is a little above average for the UK.

      I’m comfortably off and can afford to do things like go on skiing holidays occasionally.

      You won’t get really really rich being a scientist, but you’ll do better than most.
