      Hi Lewis

For GCSE you have to study Maths, Science (either Double or Triple) and (unfortunately) English Language.

At A Level you need to take Maths – and any other sciences you are interested in. I did Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

Then you need to do a four year science course called a Masters. I did a course in Theoretical Physics (I wanted to get to the heart of how the universe worked!)

After that you can study a PhD if you do well enough in your degree, or you can start working as a scientist if you are lucky enough to find a job.

I was, and am, lucky to be able to call myself a physicist!

Good luck and stay awesome – hopefully some day I’ll be working with you!

      Ed
