0 Question: Why do cats always land on there feet? Keywords: cat, feet, land Asked by Ezzy to Stef, Hugh, Guido, Ed, Dave on 16 Mar 2015.
Dave Bond answered on 16 Mar 2015:
They can twist their body by amazing amounts so they have the mobility to get their feet pointing towards the floor.
Just don’t tell my cat, it still lands on its bum when it falls off the bed.
Guido Bolognesi answered on 16 Mar 2015:
I think because they are clever and avoid to get hurt. Not like my dog that is able to hurt herself by running on the stairs too fast and hitting the steps with her legs. It is quite funny though.
Ed Rial answered on 16 Mar 2015:
Hi Ezzy
Buttered toast always lands buttered side down. So if you strap some buttered toast to the back of a cat and drop them, what would happen?
Ed
(answer: you’d probably have an angry cat 😉 )
Hugh Harvey answered on 18 Mar 2015:
They don’t! They do most of the time, but if you put them in zero gravity they just spin around and they don’t know where to put their feet!
